Our nurses have relocated to the Netherlands to pursue their careers, and we’re here to support them throughout their professional journey. However, life is about more than work. Moving to a new country also means you have to build a personal network, and therefore we regularly host social gatherings where our nurses connect. Curious about what these events are like? We’d love to give you a peek into a recent lunch we had!
At this lunch, our nurses had the opportunity to connect, unwind, and share their experiences of moving to the Netherlands and settling into their new roles. It was a great opportunity to exchange fun updates and simply enjoy each other’s company. While most of the news was positive, we also made space to discuss any challenges, reaffirming our commitment to support them through all ups and downs.
Events like this bring a lot of joy, and nearly everyone was able to attend, with the exception of two nurses who couldn’t make it. We had a vibrant mix of team members from Spain, Greece, and Portugal, and we’re excited to welcome more European nationalities in the future. It was also great to hear everyone speaking Dutch, showing that the language training is truly paying off.
The conclusion? “Het was gezellig” – that’s how we say in Dutch that it was more than just nice. It’s a word that captures the feeling of warmth, coziness, and enjoying good company in a welcoming environment. Interested in working in The Netherlands? Check out this link.
